How were the cut-off times determined?

The cut-off times are designed to allow enough time to reach the finish line in daylight hours. If you miss the cut-off time this will lead to paddlers having to paddle in the dark and we won’t allow that for safety reasons. So, for example, if you don’t head off for the bike section from Yarrawonga by 11.30am, you will not have enough time to avoid the subsequent cut-off times.

What happens if we miss the cut-off time(s)?

If you or your team mate misses any of the official cut-off times your race number will be noted so results are not affected and you will not be allowed to enter the course at that point. You will be allowed to continue the race however, by moving further along the course. You may re-start the race at the next possible start point, provided you are ready to depart at the advanced location prior to the applicable cut-off time.

What happens to our time if we skip a leg?

Should an individual or relay team member move to an advanced location along the course, we will record the race number so the time is not counted with the official results which will determine fastest prize winners!
